PassportSnapper is a Mitchell Drive product that helps people prepare a U.S. passport photo from an original image, with a free check before they pay for an output file.
Why we built it
A familiar travel task had become far harder than it needed to be.
As a traveler and parent of three, our founder kept running into the same problem: getting a passport photo ready meant hours of downloading software, resizing images, changing file types, and checking file sizes.
It felt like a practical task should have a practical solution. When the 2026 State Department guidance made it especially important to keep photos original and avoid AI edits, the simple options were even harder to find. So we built PassportSnapper.
Compliance first
We help you work with a real photo, not manufacture a better-looking one.
PassportSnapper checks and formats the original photo you provide. It does not retouch faces, replace backgrounds, apply filters, or make AI changes.
That approach follows the State Department's current guidance for paper and eligible online-renewal photos. The State Department, not PassportSnapper, makes the final acceptance decision.
